Description:
"By cataloguing and presenting 27 projects by modernist architects in Sarasota, Florida, the authors attempt to preserve the spirit of a localized but very important movement, which influenced residential design during the 1950s and 1960s. Most important among these architects was Paul Rudolph, whose designs for small "cottages" in the late1940s attracted many talented architects to the area. Designed for the traveler, the guide's innovative presentation includes individual photo cards for each project, gathered into groups by geographic area, and keyed to detailed maps" www.sciarc.edu.
Consists of a laminated fold-out map and 53 laminated photographic cards separated into four sets and joined at the top corner by a key chain. The card sets fit into plastic pockets on a single sheet; this sheet and the map are fastened to the outer folder by a metal prong.
Library's copy is no. 70 of an edition of 75.
Library's copy is missing Set B of the photo cards.
Photography.
Photocollage.
Donation - Margi Reeve
