Description:
"Designed and printed by Julie Chen using an assortment of letterpress techniques. Papers include Wyndstone Mica and Tuxedo bronze, found aeronautical charts, and embossed paper designed by Margaret Ahrens Sahlstrand at Icosa Studio. Produced in an edition of 75 copies"--Colophon in box.<br>Paper strips varying in height and shape, are accordion folded, nested, and sewn together at the fore edge. Boards at both ends are covered with paper embossed to resemble lizard skin and a gold-colored plastic sunburst medallion is glued to the front board. Title collaged on front board. In cloth-covered box with hinged glass lid. Book images are carried into the box.<br>Library's copy is no. 36 in an edition of 75, signed by the artist.<br>Letterpress printing.
